Help us test it
Hard Diesel is in alpha, and we're letting players in to test it. Register for the playtest and we'll look you over. Once you're in, the launcher installs the game and keeps it up to date.
Register
Register below: pick a username, give your email and a password. Or sign up with Steam, and pick your Hard Diesel username there. That makes your account now and puts you on the list for us to look over. Open the link we email you to confirm your email.
Your username is your name in the game. It doesn't have to be one nobody else has: you sign in with your email or Steam, and your friends can find you by the player ID on your account page.
Wait for the email
Testers are let in a few at a time. When it's your turn you'll get an email saying You're in.
Download the launcher
Sign in here and press Download the launcher on your account page. Run it, and it installs the game, keeps it up to date and starts it.
Get past SmartScreen
The launcher isn't signed yet, so Windows may warn you that it's from an unknown publisher. Press More info, then Run anyway.
Steam, or no Steam
With Steam: install Steam, open steam://install/480 to add Spacewar, Valve's free test app, which Hard Diesel runs as, and keep Steam running and signed in while you play. Your Steam friends will see you playing Spacewar.
Without Steam: sign in to the launcher with your Hard Diesel account. You can still play with and against people on Steam.
