The Game
01 · How it plays
Drive. Arm. Wreck.
Drive
Boost on its own meter, jump off the floor or a wall, tip the nose and roll in the air, powerslide round corners. Land on your wheels and keep going.
Arm up
Drive through the orbs on the floor. Weapon orbs mount a random weapon, ammo orbs refill it, item orbs give you a random item, and boost orbs fill your boost.
Lock on
Point your nose at an enemy in range and hold it there to build a lock. Most weapons then aim themselves at your target. Switch targets, or ride the target camera to keep them in view.
Wreck them
Shoot them, ram them, or both. A wrecked car is out until it respawns, or until the round ends in Ranked. A car back from a wreck can't be touched for a moment.
02 · Ways to play
Pick your fight
Team Deathmatch
2v2 · 3v3
Squad up and wreck the other crew. Wrecked cars come back after a short wait, every wreck is a point, and the first team to the kill limit wins. Press Find Match and the server fills the lobby for you.
Ranked Deathmatch
1v1 · 3v3
Played in rounds, with no respawns. A wrecked car stays out until the round is decided, and a team that loses every car loses the round.
Private Match
Custom rules · invite code
Host a lobby and get a four-letter code to hand to your crew. You set the game type, the score to win, the respawn time and which weapons and items are in play, and you start the match.
Local
Split screen · bots
Up to four drivers on one screen, with bots in every empty seat. Pick the rules and the sides and pass round the controllers.
Practice
Free drive
Drive the cage on your own and try out the weapons on scrap dummies. Nothing counts.
03 · Arsenal
Five weapons
A car carries one weapon at a time. A weapon orb gives you a new one with a full load.
Rockets
4 rockets that fly fast and straight and hit for the most damage of any single shot.
Homing
3 missiles that turn after their target. Slower than a rocket, but still faster than a boosting car.
Minigun
150 rounds of small, fast bullets with a little spread.
Laser
A beam that hits the instant it's fired, for as long as fire is held. Let it cool and its charge comes back.
Cannon
3 heavy balls that fall, bounce off the cage and roll until they meet a car or their fuse runs out.
04 · Items
Five items
One item at a time, used at the press of a button. In a private match the host decides which weapons and items the orbs give out.
Repair
Gives back half your hull.
Shield
Halves the damage you take, for 10 seconds.
Chaff
Breaks every lock on you and keeps new ones off, for 3 seconds.
Charger
Fills your boost and supercharges it for 5 seconds: 130 km/h against the usual 110.
Cloak
Breaks locks and all but hides you, for 3 seconds.
05 · The cage
Welcome to the pit
Every match is fought in the cage: a closed steel box 256 metres long, 96 wide and 32 high, with every edge and corner rounded so a car can drive from the floor up the walls and over the roof.
It's sunk to its lip in desert sand. Outside its bars, two great stands of bleachers hold a crowd that cheers through the match, louder at every kill, and beyond them lie dunes, smokestacks, the shells of tall buildings, bunkers, filling stations and watchtowers.

06 · The garage
Build your car
Mix and match the parts. They change only how your car looks: every car drives and fights the same.
| Bodies | Coupe, Pickup, Cargo, Rusky, Military, Doc |
|---|---|
| Plows | Scraper, Adjudicator, Dominator, Shredder, Dozer, Jaws |
| Wheels | Spiked, Sleek, Off-road, Street |
| Rockets | Duo, Jetwide, Aerodyn |

07 · Replays
Watch it again
Wreck cam
When you're wrecked, see the moment from the other side. The final kill of a match and the end of each ranked round are replayed too.
Whole matches
Every online and local match is saved when it ends. Pause, skip, change speed and follow any driver. Keep the best ones for good.
Spectate
Join a lobby to watch, or follow your teammates once you're out for the round.
